About the Role?
As a Software Engineer at PhotonFirst, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping their product software, working across the entire spectrum of development. From embedded software interfacing to user-friendly applications based on APIs, you’ll contribute to both customer-facing and internal tools for calibration, automation, and maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define, structure, and maintain high-quality code following best practices, including documentation and revision control.
- Collaborate with engineers across disciplines and engage in co-development with external software partners.
- Continuously improve software offerings through real-world application insights, delivering impactful solutions to diverse industries.
- Develop libraries and intuitive GUIs for Linux and Windows to ensure seamless integration for customers.
Requirements
PhotonFirst seeks a hands-on, high-tech innovator with:
- A University (WO) or Applied Science (HBO) degree in Systems/Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in software development.
- Expertise in (embedded) C, C++, Python, and software practices like version control (GIT) and DevOps methodologies.
- Familiarity with library and GUI development for Linux and Windows.
- Residency in the Netherlands with availability to work from their office in Alkmaar.
