The position
As a senior trader EMEA, you are responsible for all the facets within Trading. You will be working from our office in Alkmaar.
The tasks associated with this position are:

Identifying trade opportunities and market development within the EMEA region;

Building relationships and negotiating with customers and suppliers on prices, delivery terms, and contracts;

Together with the logistics department, ensuring correct handling of all transactions;

Expanding the network of customers in the region;
-
Preparing reports and analyses on trading activities.
Job requirements:
We are looking for a driven professional with experience in international trade. You have knowledge of logistics, currencies in international trade, and can adapt quickly in a dynamic environment. You are a pioneer, recognize opportunities, and turn them into commercial successes. You have good negotiation skills and think in creative solutions. You also have:

At least 5 years of work experience as a trader EMEA within international trade, preferably in the agricultural and/or food industry;

Minimum HBO degree;
-
Good command of the English language; French, Spanish, and/or German is a plus;
-
Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills;
-
Self-starter and able to work independently;
-
Willingness to travel within EMEA for customer visits, trade shows, and meetings.

Team and location
You will be working in our Trading team alongside 6 colleagues. Mark Weverink is the Managing Director of the EMEA team, and Luuk de Bruijn is responsible for the Trade EMEA department.
Our Royal Ingredients Group B.V. office currently has 59 colleagues. In addition to the Trade department, we have departments for Logistics, Quality, Finance, and HR.
Our office is located in the Overstad business park in Alkmaar, a great location where you can reach the city center within minutes on foot. We also have parking available in a garage directly beneath our office for both cars and bicycles. Additionally, Alkmaar Central Station is just a 10-minute walk away.
